HOWARD LYMAN TO BE GUEST AT AR0 CHAT

We at Animal Rights Online are looking forward to a very special guest at our chat room on Sunday, November 7th at 9pm EST.

As many of you might know, Howard Lyman was a guest on the Oprah Winfrey show in 1997. That show, which featured discussion of the possibility of an outbreak of mad cow disease in our country, led to a lawsuit against Oprah and Howard by a group of Texas cattle ranchers.

Howard has gone from owning and operating a multimillion dollar cattle ranch to being a major spokesman for the vegetarian movement. He was a lobbyist in Washington for the National Farmers Union during which time he helped pass the National Organic Standards Act. In 1982 he ran for Congress from the state of Montana, but unfortunately lost by a narrow vote. He is the former Director of the Beyond Beef Campaign & the Humane Society of the United States' "Eating With Conscience" Campaign, past President of the International Vegetarian Union and current President of the EarthSave International.

Since 1991, Howard has traveled approximately 100,000 miles a year, for the purpose of educating the public. He has appeared on over one thousand radio shows, hundreds of television stations, and has spoken to thousands of groups from small audiences to an assembly of over twenty-five thousand people at the Earth Day celebration in Oakland, California.

Howard is the author of the book "Mad Cowboy: Plain Truth from the Cattle Rancher Who Won't Eat Meat." To hear a former cattle rancher talk about the dangers of meat, the routine ways cattle are treated, and the benefits of a vegan diet is an unforgettable experience.

Make plans to join us on November 7th at 9pm EST for this chat hosted by PrkStRangr, staff member of Animal Rights Online at this link (save it for then)...
