First Annual Southeastern Vegetarian Action Symposium

Vegetarian Events & the Miami Chapter of EarthSave will present the First Annual Vegetarian Action Symposium February 18-20 in Gainesville, Florida, at the Sheraton Gainesville Hotel.

Join us in this beautiful North Florida setting to gain a greater understanding of the three major areas of life impacted by the vegetarian diet:
HEALTH, ANIMAL ETHICS, and ECOLOGY.

SYMPOSIUM SCHEDULE
*Friday, 2/18: 3-10PM Registration / 7-10PM Reception
*Saturday, 2/19: All-day Lecture Series on three areas of the vegetarian diet/ evening social.
*Sunday, 2/20: All-day Action Panels (community outreach, conducting classroom presentations, and factory farming/organic foods/genetically-modified foods), food demonstrations.
*Monday, 2/21: 10AM-3PM Optional canoe trip with picnic lunch $15.

REGISTRATION FEES
$75. Full Symposium, including 2 vegan breakfasts & 2 vegan lunches,
if postmarked by January 7
$90. Full Symposium, including 2 vegan breakfasts & 2 vegan lunches,
if postmarked by February 5
$60. Full Symposium, meals not included
$35. Saturday Only, meals extra, if postmarked by February 5
$25. Saturday, Student/Sr. with I.D., meals extra, if postmarked by February 5
$35. Sunday Only, meals extra, if postmarked by February 5

No meals can be provided if registration is postmarked after February 5!

Make check or money order payable to Vegetarian Events and mail to:
P.O. Box 1057, Alachua, FL 32616.
Please include name, address, phone numbers, and email address for EACH PERSON in your party.

ACCOMMODATION:
Stay on-site to take advantage of the special Sheraton Symposium rate of
$69/night (up to 4 people per room). Call the Sheraton at 352-377-4000.

MEALS
Symposium meals will be vegan. Saturday & Sunday dinner will be up to you, with many vegan-friendly Gainesville restaurants within 3 miles of the Sheraton. Carpools can be arranged.
