First Call To MEATOUT 2000
Source: FARM, farm@farmusa.org

Join this year's headliners Casey Kasem, Mary Tyler Moore, Earl Holliman, James Cromwell, Rue McClanahan, Peter Falk, 'Elvira' Peterson, Kevin Nealon, Ed Begley, Jr. and activists in more than 2000 communities in all 50 states and several other countries in celebrating Meatout 2000.

Culminating on March 20, first day of spring, people worldwide will be asked to "kick the meat habit, at least for a day, and to explore a more wholesome, less violent diet of grains, vegetables, and fruits."

This 16th annual observance of the Great American Meatout promises to be a truly millennium-sized celebration! Numerous festivals, receptions, workplace lunches, cooking demonstrations, leafleting, information tables, and exhibits are planned.

The focus will be on promoting meatless foods at the "point-of-food-purchase" (i.e. mainstream grocery stores and other retail food sites). Your free 'Action Kit' contains forms designed for this purpose.

Here are the options for getting an 'Action Kit' or registering your event:

E-mail: MEATOUT <farm@farmusa.org>
Call 1-800-MEATOUT
Snail mail: P.O. Box 30654, Bethesda, MD 20824
