Friends of Animals- (The University of Pittsburgh's
animal rights group) is planning a fur protest on Valentine's Day.
Protest will be held in front of the major department stores (Lazarus,
Kaufmann's, etc) during the business lunch hour to discourage people
from purchasing fur. Leaflets will be passed out and demonstrations will
occur. I urge you to organize the same in your own city or campus. The
more protests that occur, the larger the response. The chance of media
coverage is greatly increased if this becomes national.
Contact PETA (www.peta-online.com) for assistance in
literature. Please contact me if you need any help organizing this.
Remember, its our responsibility to stand up for the rights of the
voiceless animals. Procrastination will only mean the opportunity for
more murders to occur. There is no time to waste!
