Vegetarian teen-agers now have a chance to take a bite
out of their college tuition. The Vegetarian Resource Group, a nonprofit
group that advocates vegetarianism, has announced a new scholarship
program for teens who have promoted meat-free diets in their schools or
communities. The group said two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded each
year.
Applicants will be judged on demonstrated compassion,
courage and commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a
vegetarian lifestyle and diet.
