Where Can We Turn
By Marisa Herrera - [email protected]

Where can we turn?
Where do we stand?

A world full of deceit and greed
We're strangers looking nowhere
A society lost in what is inconsequential
To act and behave for what is perceived as relevant

I see what is superfluous and detrimental
We are lost, actions and thoughts without return

A world lost in its own downfall
Forces so corrupt every corner surrounded
I turn and see the flames
They burn - the fire is hell!
Few see the fire, we all get burned
We think we're god - we destroy, we exterminate
Whatever is on the way gets a final call
To remember the essence of what's true
A truth we find in the wonders of Mother Earth
Our demise is set, no great power will save our fall

A world caught in the illusion of greatness
We shall conquer, we will dominate
All creatures are our resources - they are subordinate
They are here to provide for the eyes of evil
Nature is infinite, we take everything, no limits
Man controls and mandates
Everything else goes to hell
Open your eyes - this is our human world

Our world, a civilized inferno where most burn
Where does it end?
Where can we turn?
Sometimes it's too much for the soul
We seek answers, we find them in nature
Open your eyes - hear our Mother Earth
A clear vision unfolds the return

Mother Earth brings solution
The clarity and balance that leads to liberation
An understanding that we have nothing

If Mother Earth and her creatures are gone - forever
To be one of Herself, She teaches simplicity
There's a place and purpose for all Her creations
Her world is magical, it speaks of wonders
Listen, Her words show wisdom
If we can be Her reflection
Then time will grant Earth's salvation.
