I wish my spirit could fly
On angels wings
I'd leave this body
And be free
I am the stray
I hunger for food
My fur is dirty and matted
I am cold
I wish I could leave
I am the lab rat
I live in solitude
Too many tests
My family is gone
I wish I could leave
I am the greyhound
I run for my master
He cares not for me, but for his own greed
If I slow, I will join the rest
I wish I could leave
I am the angel
I carry the souls of the weak
The exploited
The murdered
To a place of sanctuary
Heaven is waiting
