They are the strong,
as they will fight our enemies
until their death if necessary
for the love of you.
They are our teachers,
as they show us how to love
with all their hearts, unconditionally
even when we do not deserve it
and others turn away.
They are the true,
as there is NO greater loyalty in the world
greater then theirs to you.
They are as children,
as they cannot drive themselves to the Doctors
when sick or tell you
when they need warmth and food.
They are gifts from God,
the trusting ones who trust us completely
to love and care for them
in times of need as they care for us
everyday in every way.
Our truest spirit
our truest self shines through our love
and kindness to all creatures great and small.
