Alone I sit in this cage so small
I am so weak, I can barely crawl
What did I do to the man dressed in white
Who smeared soap in my eye, now I have no sight
I tried hard to run, but only to find
He just slammed me down, and told me to mind
I lied there in pain, but I still recall
The first hime I had, well, it wasn't this small
I could run and frolic and play all day
The house was so big. Oh I wanted to stay
"FREE TO GOOD HOME" the big sign out front said
The next day the phone rang, was someone named Fred
Fred took me to the man all dressed in white
He seemed so nice that I did not even fight
From that day on, my views started to change
The man dressed in white, well, he was acting strange
He'd shove me around and do things that'd hurt
He put me in a cage all covered with dirt
One night while sleeping, I heard a loud sound
People rushed in and were gathering around
"Don't worry, you're safe now," one of them said
And she pulled me from my cage, patting my head
I'm free from that Hell now, and I am glad
I'm quickly forgetting the life that I had
