Bear Protection Act (H.R. 3029)

I did a search on Bear gall market and sure enough
there are hunters out there asking around for a market to make some
extra money on their bears. An extra 500 dollars or more is great
incentive to hunt bears. I hope this law goes through. They say you can
sell gall bladders from legally taken bears to dealers such as
taxidermists.

The gall bladder story is a sad one. The demand
exploded when bear farms and synthesized UDCA went on the market, which
should have lessened demand on wild bears. Unfortunately the
effectiveness of this medicine is not a myth as it does have real
medicinal qualities as an immune booster ect... (not as much as an
aphrodisiac).
