Our Silence About Animal Abuse Promotes Abuse of Humans
Comments by Rod Preece - 27 Aug 2003

With regard to the message [I previously sent], it was not meant to be sent. I began to compose something, realized I had no time - I was supposed to be at Shakespeare's Love's Labours Lost in Stratford - and left it so that I could expand it later. Unfortunately, it would appear that I pressed the wrong button - and submitted it. Not for the first time I might add!! I expanded the message later, and only found afterwards I had already submitted the sentences below.

Anyway, I find the way it is written impolite and inconsiderate. It would, no doubt, have been less blunt and bald had I not rushed away. My apologies to the group for the wording of my response. One of the things I most admire about this group is the intelligent and honourable way that participants argue, disagreed, and remain very polite. I regret having written in a form that disturbs the principles of that valuable code.
