Dear Gabby:
Sometimes family members are the last ones to listen. Just love them for whom God wants them to be, and show your compassion silently before them. If they ask you something, answer them politely and lovingly, and above all don’t get angry. Treat them like you want them to treat you and the other animals.
Start talking to others, and hopefully you will find some people who are like-minded so you can work together. See if there are any animal rights groups or vegetarian societies in your area.
