Hi Frank and Mary,

I don't believe I've seen this very truthful and much needed section before. Church Silence Promotes Violence

I like the Scripture "As for you, the anointing that you received from him remains in you, so that you do not need anyone to teach you." 1 John 2:27

God will hold us accountable for every creature: "No creature is concealed from him, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account." Hebrews 4:13 Teachers/preachers will be judged more strictly as the Bible says. It takes courage to speak the truth because many may be offended and leave, but that's the price for teaching God's compassionate word to His flock. Man is not the center of the universe, God is and if God is the center of the life of His church, we would be hearing more about how to live compassionate lives for all of His creatures.

Perhaps when an epidemic breaks out, then 'leaders' will break the silence, take notice and speak out. More and more diseases from animals are increasing (ecoli, mad cow disease and bird flu among many others) which is a sign of the end times. Silence only allows cruelty to continue.

"When we do not intervene in long patterns of abuse,
we tolerate and support that abuse --
and our silence speaks our doctrine, doesn't it?"
-- the Rev. Tom Woodward

Come Lord Jesus!

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." Psalm 150:6
"But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without inconstancy or insincerity." James 3:17

To mistreat God’s animals offends God.

"The highest wisdom is kindness."
