Animal Sacrifices: Our Visitors' Comments
By Saba - 11 Aug 2012

Dear Marni.

The passage you quoted below is misleading to many. But when God said bring the bulls also other kind of animals without defect and pray over them and offer their substance to me the Lord did not mean kill them and offer their blood and dead flesh to me. Rather the Lord meant present them as whole to me.

All animals were less defiled than human beings and were used as better substitutes for us because of our already tarnished, unrepresentable condition or offensiveness. Their being without blemish and their innocence was seen as better than our own. However the mistake that the Jews made was to think the offering had to involve killing the animals.

Moses and Aaron being Christian Jews wanted the animals to be presented as whole to God but the rest of the people did not want that. God-Life of course could not, cannot, will not possibly accept any thing dead as an offering but the substance of the good animals, which were in their inner most part (including their blood) was to be presented to the Lord as a peace offering at all times.

Do never read the Holy Bible word by human word but read the essence of it, in order to grasp the meaning. I hope you understand what I am trying to say, forgive my not very fluent English.

Please read my two books for detailed explanation too.
