We ought NOT to distract people's attention from realizing that persons are not objects for OUR exploitation.
PETA justifies distracting people's attention from the issues at hand by claiming to get their attention; however, seeing what is happening in a nude protest or whatever (while participating in such a protest) shows that passersby note the nudes but NOT the need for moral change in our relationship with nonhuman persons.
