I really applaud your publication, and wonder if -- since it has a significant tie-in with religious practice such as that which you and Mary espouse -- if you would make a point of raising the "Golden Rule" and a more just and universal application of it to churches and religious people across the land.
My little article was intended to be of some help in raising this issue, and in asking the religious folks to themselves become part of the solution. However, I think that a sustained effort in this direction should be mounted, and like the "pushy vegan" article referenced, PUSHED into people's awareness, calling for their personal action.
As things now stand, the great majority of religious people choose to ignore the potential to apply the Golden Rule to the so-called "food animals." I think that they should be "called" on that unfortunate (some would say immoral and unethical) behavior. What say you?
