Christian Bowhunters of America
Is it really Christian?
Comment by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 8 Jun 2007

Dear Rick:

Thank you for writing such a polite letter. Most of the hunters who write to us are quite nasty, and seem to have a horrible lack of command of the English language.

It's not a lack of respect that's the issue, and if it was only involving the two of us, it would be fine; however, hunting involves a lack of compassion for the animals, and this is our area of concern. We have personally seen too many of the wounded and maimed animals to not be concerned.

We also find it interesting that you tie our anti-hunting stance to the aborting issue, and we agree it should be. We are totally pro-life, as we believe you should be. True love and compassion should have no limit. We cannot separate the desire to preserve all life, whether it's that of a human or another animal, and we don't understand how you can separate the two.

There are also some very successful non-lethal ways of controlling deer populations, particularly, if the States would stop manipulating the populations for the benefit of the hunters.

In reference to your Acts 10:9-16, please read my commentary:
After you read it, we be very interested in your comments.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
