Divorce and Remarriage

Pastor Hoffman,

Please let me know your views on divorce and remarriage. A Bible teacher told me yesterday that God does not recognize a marriage other that the first marriage. She bases this on what she believes is adultery according to Scripture and what Paul had written in Corinthians. Also, that God's plan in creation did not include divorce.

I find it hard to believe that we should give up on God giving us a mate if we have been divorced. I would like your help in understanding this. I respect your opinion. You are the only Christian pastor I know of to date, who is vegan, to correspond with.
