Do Animals Go To Heaven?
Comments by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 26 Sep 2008

Dear Cheryl:

Thank your for writing and for your concern. And we are very sorry to hear about your loss.

We have people write to us almost every day about animals in the afterlife. And we believe that your companions, as well as all other animals, go to heaven when they die.

Unless God opens the gates of heaven so that we all can see the animals in heaven, we cannot 'prove' that they are there, and neither can we 'prove' that humans are there, either. All we have is what has been handed down to us in the Bible, and the insight and unction of the Holy Spirit to help us realize that all humans and others animals have souls and spirits.

From the Hebrew, of Genesis 1 and 2 we know that God created every animal and human as a living soul. And from Revelation, we see that there are animals in heaven. Isaiah also tells us of the peaceable kingdom to come in 11:6-9. So the only logical conclusion we can come to is that if humans go to heaven, so do all of the animals. There is nothing in the Bible that disputes this, and thus disagree with the interpretations you cited.

We hope this helps.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
