I enjoy the dialog..
Actually it does say that he did break the fish in either the feeding of 4K or 5K stories, but its not that big a deal. I think that he was more interested in people than what they were eating at that time. The fact is, there is not much said about Jesus' eating habits, but it does bring up an interesting point. I feel sure he would have eaten a normal Passover meal since he was Jewish, which would have obviously contained meat.
So that brings us to a new topic. The Jewish ceremonial activities and laws were wrapped up around the sacrificial killing of animals which God instructed the Levites to eat with some pretty detailed instructions.
Like I said, I totally eat a plant based diet and don't have any desire for meat. (Actually the whole thought of killing animals disgusts me and I can't do it) But its an argument that falls on deaf ears at church because of the apparent commands of God to the Jewish people, not just about animals but the instructions to wipe out entire populations when taking over the land. So I would be interested in hearing your take on that. Then of course the requirement for Jesus to have to die for payment of the sins of Man.
You may have addressed all these issues somewhere and already have it posted.. If you can direct me there, no need to re-address it here
All that said, I still think that God would not be pleased with our poor stewardship in the way we destroy resources and the whole ag business as it is today.
Thanks for the feedback..
