I chanced upon your website for the Compassionate Internet Christian Church ministry, and read the following thought:
Just as Jesus Christ died to free us from the sin and death of this world, so are we, in Christ, to work to free the rest of God's creation from the corruption we and our fellow human beings have brought upon this earth.
Immediately there came to my mind a question: From where do you get the idea that those who are "in Christ" are "to work to free the rest of God's creation from the corruption we and our fellow human beings have brought upon this earth? To my mind, the Scriptures make your first assertion abundantly clear, Christ did come in order to free us from sin and death, but is there some place in the scriptures that teach your second assertion?
I am not aware of any such teaching, but of course, perhaps I have failed to see or understand something. I await your response.
