Re: Genesis 9:1-4 - A Commentary on God's Concession to Eat Flesh by Frank L. Hoffman

According to the Bible, God did not want to destroy all human & nonhuman life again because of Man's evil, so God said he would remove the punishment from eating the animals.

I other words, the flood happened because Man was eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (animals) and God knew Man was too evil to ever stop this and God did not want to kill all life again because of this, so he decriminalized flesh eating.

Of course, I don't believe that God did this, but those that believe the Bible have to.

So to eat animals means that you agree that you are so evil that God is sorry that He made you.

We have a choice to not be that evil and not be the reason for the flood.

Next time a Bible thumper tells you that God sanctions animal eating, tell them to really read the Bible, it is all in Genesis 8 & 9.
