Hunting
Comments by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 10 Apr 2006

While reviewing Steven's letter for publication and our response, we realized that we hadn't responded to his comments about 'meanie-greenies'.

Stephen referred to some animal activists as being 'mean greenies', which really isn't true.  'Meanie-greenies' is a term that refers to environmentalists who only care about the environment, and not about the animals who live in it.  These could include organizations that preserve habitat for animals so that their populations are in sufficient numbers to adequately 'supply' the hunters' desire to kill, or individuals who like the outdoors so they have a place to hunt.

In our opinion, this is a total disconnect on what it means to be stewards of this earth.
