Part of what you are talking about seems to be cheap grace, and that is not what the Bible teaches. Yes, forgiveness comes when we truly repent of our sins, but at the same time, we must do everything in our power to sin no more, or to allow others to sin for us. Only then are we covered by God's grace and forgiven.
To willfully participate in the torture and suffering of billions of animals every year, which included the consuming of their flesh and bodily secretions, is a premeditated sin against God's teachings (which include Jesus'). It's not the eating that's the sin, it's the participating in the inflicted suffering that's the sin. We are to be loving, compassionate peacemaking children of God that go forth and do their best to end the corruption of God's beautiful creation. We are to stop the pain and suffering.
