We are not diminishing the blood. There is definitely a blood covenant when it comes to the relationship between soul and blood, for we are told that the soul is in the blood. This is also the very reason that Jesus also had to be human as well as God, otherwise He would have remained all spirit. With a human body He also had a soul, which allowed for the propitiation, as we are told in Leviticus 17:11. However, none of this changes the fact that animal sacrifice is not necessary.
We also believe that we are coming together in your thinking about the necessity of recognizing the suffering of millions and human being, and billion of other animals that occurs every year, and that as children of God, we need to do something to alleviate it.
