Biblical Inerrancy: A Discussion
Comment by Peter - 5 December 1999
Steve asks (in part): "Frank: why do you believe in Biblical inerrancy?"
Frank Responded (in part): "There is a difference between Bible inerrancy and Biblical translation and interpretation."
Frank, it makes sense to me on your statements on the Bible inerrancy! Quite often it is best to check back to the original writings. At the same time I see that most important points can be understood while the problems in translations and interpretations do exist. I do see more problems in interpretations though, even while we are going back to the originals. If we take all the Bible texts, it quite well interprets itself. I know many areas that the majority view is just not Biblical. As I have been making statements on the plan of salvation before. As Jesus says very pointedly -- not everyone that says Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father.
In the love of Christ,
