Frank L. Hoffman Interviewed:
The Highest Ethics of God's Law
Answer by Frank L. Hoffman - 23 Feb 2003

Dear Colin and Others:

I don't believe that our conscience is a physical created part of our being, but rather a receptor of spiritual unction from God.

We hear three types of inner unction: our own imaginings, those of the ungodly forces around us, and the voice of the Holy Spirit.

By looking around the world, it appears that the majority of people can't sort out the difference, and unfortunately, this includes many professing Christians.

But with experience, we can hear the Holy Spirit above the others.

This is where the Bible comes into play. It is the reference book for sorting out these differences, but nothing in our interpretation can conflict with any part of the Bible or we should dismiss it as not being from God. The other companion test is to make sure that the unction is based on God's perfect love.

It's not that one has the "higher ethic", it's that it all works together for the glory of God.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank
