In Reference to Growing a Papaya Tree from Seed
Hi Mary:
Thanks for your visit and question.
We believe that we got flowers in the second year of indoor pot planting next to a sliding glass door.
The most important thing to remember is that the papaya plants must cross pollinate to produce fruit, so plant about a dozen seeds, so that when they bloom you can tell the males from the females, and occasionally you will get a plant that has both male and female flowers. One male papaya will pollinate several female plants.
We hope this helps.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
