Re: The Lord God Planted a Garden and God's Garden

Mary and Frank Hoffman,

There is a poem by Dorothy Frances Gurney in your SPIRITUAL AN INSPIRATIONAL POETRY ARCHIVES section wrongly entitled "The Lord God Planted a Garden." The correct title is "God's Garden."

In addition, the last and most important verse of this poem has been omitted:

For He broke it for us in a garden
Under the olive-trees
Where the angel of strength was the warden
And the soul of the world found ease.

I say most important because the "garden" to which she refers here is the garden of Gethsemane. "He" is Jesus Christ and "broke it" refers to His broken heart.
