We have been vegan for nearly a quarter century and our weight has been very constant. We have found that if you don't eat junk food, cook with oil, and don't use oil salad dressing, and control the amount of grains we eat, we lose weight; when we eat grains we seem to gain a little weight, so for us the grains act as a weight balancer.
