Reincarnation and Christianity
Comments by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 10 Sep 2010

Dear Friends:

We have not entered into this discussion previously, but would like to now.

We totally agree that there are two realms, the spiritual and the physical, and that the spiritual resides within all living humans and animals, and upon death, the spiritual essence of those individuals returns to the spiritual realm with God. This is the way God created us as living souls.

Based upon Biblical evidence, there are no references to anyone having any awareness of a previous earthly existence, and when God wants to teach us a lesson, he always gives us some understanding of what we did wrong, and what He wants us to do to correct our lifestyle and actions. If there is no real cognoscente of any prior life, and what we have to do to correct it, then belief in reincarnation does not appear to come from God.

However, God does see that intent is the heart and soul, no matter who the individual is, and he does give us unctions via the Holy Spirit to guide us through our lives, and it is this that gives everyone myriads of chances to changes their lives into what is acceptable to God in their one lifetime.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
