WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO KEEP THE SABBATH DAY HOLY?

Comments by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 8 Oct 2005

Dear Romeo:

Thank you for writing and for your questions.

Let us try to simplify our answer rather than answering each question individually, as the answers would be repetitive.

We have found no difference in the reverence of a truly believing person whether they worship on Saturday or Sunday. On the other hand, there seem to be the same percentage of hypocrites in both groups, too.

From Jesus' teaching, we come to the conclusion that we are to treat every day as holy to the Lord. In fact, Jesus repeated every commandment but the one concerning the Sabbath.

Our intent is not to second guess God, but to serve God in the best way possible, seeking to become perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect, as Jesus commanded us.

We hope this helps.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
