Dear Bob:

It's very nice to hear from you.

Being a compassionate person should be the most wonderful thing in the world, except for the fact that most of the people in the world don't want to live truly compassionate lives.

The word of God is supposed to penetrate our innermost parts and cause us to change, but this too, most Christians block. Instead of living in love, they live in fear.

The reactions you are facing are do to the fact that your lifestyle causes these people to see themselves for who they really are. You take the "fun" out of their desire to kill, and they don't like it, because they know it's wrong. If they truly thought they were doing a righteous and moral thing, they wouldn't care what you said or did.

A Korean pastor friend of mine, responded to a similar complaint I had made about the attendees at a seminar I was teaching at. He said, "If you're really a Christian, go to hell!" I was shocked for a moment, and then realized what he was saying. It does little good to preach to the choir, and be a witness to those who don't need it. From what you wrote, people know who you are and what you stand for. You are a light in the darkness, and you need to keep shining.

If you would like to go back on the veg-Christian list, you are most welcome. Please let us know.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
