In Reference to: 13 November 1994 - HOLD FAST TO JESUS CHRIST, FOR WE ARE IN THE BIRTH PANGS OF THE NEW AGE

Dear Frank,

What a BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL sermon!

Our hope is indeed in the Lord and we are to hold unto Him for dear life! ETERNAL Life! I too was touched by what I saw of the Lord Jesus at the knee of my father - through his eyes, but when I grew older and moved away from where my parent lived at looked at the church we grew up in, I became appalled and started following all sorts of "new age ideas". Not wishing to extinguish the flame enkindled in my heart as a child, but trying to find it's source as I could not find it in my father's church, so I searched further and further afield, but without me noticing, the flame grew dimmer as I exposed myself to lots of other ideas, until I have become confused between what I came to know at the Lord's truth as a young child and what looks like gemstones of wisdom, presented to me as new age ideas.

I couldn't bare the thought of letting go and turning my back on what I once had as a young child, but at the same time I wanted to embrace all these exciting and beautiful new ideas. They all seem so wise, gentle, kind and good.

I'm delighted to say that I have been able to find my way through the maze through trust in the Lord Jesus to do it for me, and am forever grateful that the Lord heard my sighs - isn't it simply wonderful but also sad that we can have hopeful anticipation when the world around us is in despair - AMEN I say on this sermon - thanks for sharing it!
