Dear Sandy:
I'm (Frank) a scientist as well as a Believer (big B intended), and it was my scientific searching that led me to understand and become aware of God's presence. So, I won't use any circular 'logic' with you, but I will give you one Bible verse that describes what led me to God (Romans 1:20).
There are too many extremely complex systems and beings in the world for this to have all come into existence by accident. Perhaps this is one of the reasons I'm so fascinated by the structures of plants, as you can see in our art and photo section.
Personality is not as aspect of any physical evolutionary process. We and the other animals are each unique. This is to us, an example of our spiritual makeup. Your computer can never love you, but compare that to the way a companion dog or cat does, because love is a spiritual expression of our soul.
I have also looked back upon my own body and the many doctors and nurses working on me during a near death experience while in the Air Force 50 years ago. To me, this is absolute proof of another realm beyond the physical, a spiritual realm.
If I may suggest, focus your vision beyond the Bible, and the people that point you there, to the whole of creation and I believe you'll also begin to see many of the same things I've seen and the 'proof' you are looking for.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
