In Reference to: 23 February 1992 - WORRY AND UNFORGIVENESS MAKES ONE UNHEALTHY, POOR, AND UNWISE
Lovely sermon, Frank.
I am so glad you saved them, are able to recycle them, reach a larger audience with them, and take advantage of their timelessness. It's helpful to be reminded not to fret about the evil that others do but to forgive them, at the same time as we repent of the evil we ourselves do, and forgive ourselves.
This past week's Christian Science Bible Lesson, whose subject was "Mind" (a synonym for God), was also devoted to the story of Joseph. The emphasis was on the fact that there is, in reality, only one Mind, one God, and that this Mind is Love itself. Living this Love is what makes us spiritually minded, long-lived, and at peace, as Romans 8:6 makes clear.
I love this statement of Mary Baker Eddy's, which Joseph proved to be true: "God is not the creator of an evil mind. Indeed, evil is not Mind. We must learn that evil is the awful deception and unreality of existence. Evil is not supreme; good is not helpless; nor are the so-called laws of matter primary, and the law of Spirit secondary. Without this lesson, we lose sight of the perfect Father, or the divine Principle of man" (Science and Health, p. 207).
