You ask a good question. My thinking is that we can't get people to volunteer to do things they don't want to do. People generally want to eat animal flesh, particularly at celebratory family gatherings. So, I don't think the goal should be to stop carnism at Christmas, because that will follow if people are moving toward vegetarianism or veganism. They can be inclined this way for health, environmental, or animal welfare reasons. In my opinion, if you have the opportunity to engage people one-on-one, it can be effective to show how animal liberation and human liberation movements are connected.
