Tell the Truth to Non-Veggie Friends

Yes, I think I have chosen to try to go lightly with friends (but not without carrying the message in various ways--on my own facebook page, by inserting it in conversations, etc.).

I've probably said this before, but I hope to see drastic, positive changes in my lifetime. I do have a tough time understanding why even those I know who seem to understand the problem(s) with eating meat continue to do so. Of course, we are a minority of the population.

Some people are convinced that they have to have it for their health, while some vegetarians have stopped eating it because of their health! I've heard and realize that some people haven't changed because it's the way they were raised. (Oh dear, can't we think "outside the box"?) Few people would probably admit that there is also probably at least an element of self-centeredness behind the refusal to change.
