Human life is more important and valuable than that of a dog.
However, I consider Noodle and Buckwheat my dearly beloved children. They are as much my family as anyone, so it would be "emotionally" very difficult for me to conceptualize ditching them to save a stranger. But, if it came to that (which I find very unrealistic), logically, the human stranger comes first. But then - - I would do everything in my power to save Noodle AND Bucky as well. (I also find it problematic to choose between Noodle or Buckwheat)
