Help campaign against the cruelty of gamebird shooting
October 1 marks the start of the pheasant shooting season, during which millions of birds will be frightened into the air to be shot at by heartless, wealthy individuals.
Every year, more than 40 million pheasants and partridges are purpose-bred for the shooting industry. Around 18 million birds are shot and retrieved, whilst millions more will die from their wounds, starvation, predation or under the wheels of cars.
