We were delighted to hear that Vice Dean, Canon Peter Brett, preaching
in Canterbury Cathedral in September, denounced modern intensive farming
methods. He declared that life to death for the animals in such systems
is continuous suffering. He reminded the congregation "Humans will never
be whole if they live only for single-minded self-gratification,
careless of how they achieve it".
The Vice Dean's sermon follows the letter from the Dean & Chapter to
the Minister protesting about the suffering involved in the live export
trade.
Well done Canterbury Cathedral!
