No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

“Green Ammo”? – 23 December 2006

Do you wonder why I use the expression “meanie greenies”? Well here’s one more example – this one from a fax promoting the sale of stock in an ammunition manufacturing company:

Under “investment highlights” there is this interesting tidbit: “…single largest market for volume rifle ammunition through launch of eco-ammo, environmentally friendly ‘green ammo.’ ”

Well, why not? If meanie greenies can eat “humane veal” and other “humane,” “organic,” and “natural” animal-derived products, they may as well feel good about killing for fun with “green ammo.”

According to this fax, “the burgeoning” market for ammunition that has been growing at a “rate of 28% per annum…for ten consecutive years…will continue to gain further momentum as military and government defense spending increases through 2006 and beyond.”

And under “breaking news” this exciting bit of information about this company: “…U.S. State Department approval to export 2,020,000 rounds of various small arms cartridges to existing customers in Peru.”

There is no way that anything that destroys any part of God’s creation could possibly be considered “green.” Let’s face it, Folks; it’s nothing but “blood red.”
