A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from All-Creatures.org

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Junk Versus Good Programming – 4 August 2007
By Mary T. Hoffman

This is an Email that we sent yesterday to WMHT Public TV:

We can’t understand why you air a piece of fiction like “Secrets of Mary Magdalene” but will not bring your viewers a documentary such as “Mad Cowboy,” distributed by KQED of San Francisco, or any number of other worthwhile, compassionate and truthful programs.

Last November we sent our first Email to them, as follows:

Thank you for airing the excellent Nature: “Chimpanzees: An Unnatural History.” We hope you can air the program “Mad Cowboy.” The distributor is KQED of San Francisco.

“Mad Cowboy” is Howard Lyman’s documentary which shows his change from cattle rancher to animal advocate.
