A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from All-Creatures.org

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

“What Can I Do?” – 6 September 2007
By Mary T. Hoffman

When confronted with the horrible cruelty of animal exploitation, many people wring their hands in desperation and ask, “What can I do?” And unfortunately, there are not enough of them.

The one thing that can get to the root of the problem is to simply go vegan. Think about it: if no one buys the products of animal exploitation – dairy, meat, poultry, eggs, leather, fur – or pays for animal “entertainment,” or contributes to “charities” that fund animal biomedical research, etc., the problem will go away.

There is a lot of information out there to help educate those who are interested in making the change to a more compassionate, healthful and simpler lifestyle.

Frank and I have “been there, done that”; and we thank God for touching our hearts and bringing us closer to His perfect will. Going vegan over twenty years ago gave us peace of mind and good health that we continue to enjoy.
