A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from All-Creatures.org

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Record Autumn Heat – 26 September 2007
By Mary T. Hoffman

The record of 86 degrees F. for this date, set on 26 September 1970, was broken by three degrees today in this area. Well, I shouldn’t complain; after all, we’ve enjoyed many days of beautiful weather lately.

Showers and possible thunderstorms are forecast for tonight and into tomorrow which will bring relief from this record-breaking 89 degrees F.

RECORD AUTUMN HEAT

(Written 26 September 2007)

Eighty-nine degrees, they say –
A record-breaking day.
But I really can’t complain;
We’ve had such ideal weather,
It couldn’t have been better.
Besides, the forecast calls for rain!
