A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from All-Creatures.org

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Yellow Primrose and Black-eyed Susan – 25 June 2008
By Mary T. Hoffman

Yellow Primrose After the almost daily rain showers we’ve been having lately, I thought I’d better take advantage of this dry day to get some yard work done. So – at 5:30 this morning I was outside doing my usual weed whacking, pruning, etc.

The yellow primroses and black-eyed Susans are in bloom here now, while the wild roses are just about finished blooming. Originally, we had some yellow primroses in a planter on our sundeck. Then, I started to sprinkle some of the seeds from those flowers in other places on our property, to see if they would take. Well, they did; and they look very pretty.
