Yellow Primrose and Black-eyed Susan 25 June 2008

After the almost daily rain showers weve been having lately, I thought Id better take advantage of this dry day to get some yard work done. So at 5:30 this morning I was outside doing my usual weed whacking, pruning, etc.

The yellow primroses and black-eyed Susans are in bloom here now, while the wild roses are just about finished blooming. Originally, we had some yellow primroses in a planter on our sundeck. Then, I started to sprinkle some of the seeds from those flowers in other places on our property, to see if they would take. Well, they did; and they look very pretty.

"Joyful Curmudgeon"
An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
