At noon today, Barack Obama officially became the 44th President of the United States. A short time later, he took the traditional oath of office and was the first President to use the same Bible that Abraham Lincoln had used in his inauguration.
Braving the cold, a huge exuberant crowd cheered as their newly-elected leader gave his inaugural address which affirmed the need for every American to work together through these hard times so that our Nation will once more achieve the stature it once had in the eyes of the world.
Across this country and around the world, people welcome our new President with an enthusiasm that emanates from the promise of positive change.
