Letter from Tyler about Animal Suffering and Activism - 8 Mar 2008

Hello there --

My name is Tyler and I live in Youngstown, Ohio. I have been an animal-lover since I could walk. Tonight I just came home from being with my girlfriend and I decided to come online to check my e-mail. I got bored and decided to look at some funny animal videos or pictures. I came across your website and I looked through all of the animal abuse pictures, mainly the ones that dealt with the dogs.

Before I tell you what happened, I would like to point out that I am a boxer. I play football. I play baseball. I have been in mixed martial arts for six years now, so I have a history of fighting. I am six foot, four inches tall and weigh in at 200 pounds even. To say the least, I am a big, tough guy.

After seeing those abuse pictures, I cried for upwards to twenty minutes. I'm only 21 years old, but the way I felt for those poor animals ... I can't put into words. I always knew there was animal abuse going on around the world and I knew it was bad as well. I don't know what it was about seeing it tonight, but it really changed how I look at things now.

After looking throughout your website, I tried to find something that is more 'up my alley' for involvement purposes. There isn't much that I have found. The reason why I'm writing to you now is to tell you that even the toughest of men will cry and be angered by what's going on if they have even an ounce of compassion in them; and second, because I would appreciate it if you could reply back to me and let me know what there is that I can do.

As much as I would like to go over there and find every single person who has tortured and abused an animal and "hurt them," (putting that VERY lightly) I can't. But I want to become as involved as I can be because the emotions that I felt tonight was raw and real. There is no denying that. Please let me know what I can do. Thank you so much!

God bless,

Tyler

The most important things we can do is to expose the truth to as many people as we can, and try to touch their hearts and soul as your's were touched.

Please refer others to our web site so that they can see for themselves.
