Letter from Stephanie About Animal Experiments - 30 Mar 2009

My name is Stephanie.

I am in grade 12 and I am doing a presentation to my S.P.A. (sociology, psychology, anthropology) class.

We were to chose one of the listed topics to have a discussion on it with our class.

My topic was Animal Experimentation. It makes me absolutely sick to my stomach to read and hear of just a few of the disgusting and revolting actions that are taken upon animals.

I always knew deep down that animals were continuously being researched on and abused but I guess I just lied to myself and think that it wasn't going on so it wouldn't hurt them so much.

I now however look at the fact as I am not the only one who has just "looked the other way."

This will not help the matter at all.

My reason for writing is that I want to be able to help. I don't have a lot of money that I can continuously send in to charities, but I would like to help in any other way, whether it be volunteering at a local pound, writing furious and demanding letters, or protesting. What ever it may be, I want to help.

If you have any other information, idea's or recommendations I would sincerely appreciate it.

Even if I only help one animal, that would mean the world to me. Of course I'd love to help as many animals as possible. Please write back to me.

Stephanie

P.S. Also with animal cruelty that takes place all over the world. I once saw a documentary on elephants and they were beaten with sharp objects and rakes. And when I say rakes I mean they use the rakes to cut, scrape, and purposefully hurt these poor animals.

Again, I am aware that these are only one of the few enduring an everyday battle.

What can we do to stop this??

I know how I would like to handle it personally, by using the same torture devices used on these animals to beat these cowardly,
disgusting, heartless monsters. I would love to do a lot worse to those horrible people.

I'm hoping, that someone may have a way that I can take a stand, and help put a stop to these tragedies.

I don't want to end up in jail or anyplace crazy like that, but the way society is going today with their everlasting love for self wealth, fur and bullshit like that. No decency whatsoever! I may end up where I hope not to.

Yours truly,
Stephanie

Thank you very much for writing and telling us about your desire to help end the suffering and exploitation of animals.

The most effective way to help the most animals is through informing the public about the atrocities committed upon animals, and asking them to help, too. This is something that can be done as a individual or in small groups. We have an animal activist section. This section should give you some ideas that don't cost any money, and we are ready to help you any way we can.

After you've had a chance to look at these options, please let us know what you'd like to do.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
