Letter From Zefrey About Jesus and Vegetarianism - 20 Aug 2009

[See Zefrey's previous letter.]

Well, I don't necessarily believe that we should all be vegetarians, after all Jesus spoke of fishing, and as I remember, he did some fishing too. But a dolphin is not a fish, it is a very intelligent mammal, and people are not stupid, they definitely know the difference. And it is my opinion that some animals were put on earth for human consumption, and after all these years we know the difference between the ones that were put here for a food source, like milk and eggs. And some animals or a very important food source, and really have no intelligence ,and yes they are still beautiful. After all, God made them.

Dear Zefrey:

We have heard all these arguments, but Jesus also taught us to be loving, compassionate, peacemaking children of God, and there is way that this description fits into horrible things that are happening to over 50 billion land animals every year.

He also told us that we could do even greater things (Love), and to pray for our heavenly Father's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Since there is no death or suffering in heaven, should we do everything in our power to end suffering and death on earth?

When we are vegan, we do this.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
